CRIMINAL LAW

When you or a family member are facing a criminal charge, you will need an attorney who has extensive knowledge and experience in the criminal justice system.  You will also want an attorney who recognizes how important your case is to you, and who will be willing to give your case the time and attention it deserves.  Your attorney must be willing to fight to protect your interests and your rights, but must also make sure that you understand all options available to you to resolve your charge.

In private practice, and as a former Assistant District Attorney for Sullivan County, Ricky has handled hundreds of criminal cases, ranging from simple misdemeanors to "A" felonies.  He tried more jury cases than any other lawyer in Sullivan County when he was with the District Attorney's office, so you can be sure that he will be willing to take your case to the jury.  Likewise,  Ricky is familiar with the entire criminal justice system and will explore all legal options to protect your interests and give you the information necessary to make the decision on how you with to proceed.

DUI

DUI cases are among the most complex in the entire legal system, as they often involve issues of scientific evidence and delicate decisions related to probable cause.  Ricky has lectured in the area of DUI law on numerous occasions, and  is certified in the administration of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  When you choose an attorney to represent you in your DUI case, isn't it worth it to choose an attorney who knows these type of cases inside and out?
