While we concentrate our practice in Family Law and Criminal Law we also litigate other areas, including probate law and civil rights enforcement.  Should you require legal services in these--or other--areas, please do not hesitate to contact our office.   We will gladly let you know if we can help, or refer you to an attorney who may be able to.

Information about our Attorney's fees.

By concentrating his practice in Family Law and Criminal Law, Ricky avoids a large percentage of his practice depending on the receipt of "contingency fees"--cases where the attorney does not get paid without a recovery for a client.  Contigency fees are typical in personal injury cases, workers comp. cases, and Social Security cases.  While these fee arrangements can be beneficial to a client in some instances, firms which depend too much on these type of fees often are required to charge their other clients more, in order to prop up the firm's finances while they wait on their next fee.

By avoiding over-reliance on these arrangements, we are able to charge consistent and reasonable fees which permit the client to retain a high level of control over the litigation--and the attorneys fees-- because the client receives a monthly bill itemizing work done on the case and the amount of their balance.

The initial consultation is always free.

After the initial consultation, if it is clear that additional services are necessary, we will quote a "retainer fee."  This fee is the amount of money that will have to be paid in order to hire our firm.  The retainer fee is usually based upon a certain number of hours that we feel will be necessary to achieve substantial progress on your case.  As you case moves forward, we will bill from the retainer fee.

If your case requires additional time beyond the original retainer, we will send you a monthly statement which itemizes the time spent on your case, and reflects your account balance.

In addition to cash and checks, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Card.
